School starts next week and I am ready! I feel like this summer has lasted forever. It's amazing to think that in elementary to high school we never want the summer to end. We start getting anxious in August and whining that we don't want to go back to school. But now in college, I am excited to go back. Not sure if it is because I am studying a topic that I am very interested in or because I am paying for it. Probably both is what I am thinking. But with summer break coming to an end and school starting up, I feel like a teenager again and am excited for the new semester to begin.
I have one class at school and one class online, which I feel works wonderfully. But I think that I am running out of night and online classes and am going to have to work something out in the next couple semesters. But I am ready for anything!
Until next time...

A Relaxing Summer...
Not since high school have I enjoyed summer as much as I am enjoying this summer. Yes I am still working, but being able to get back into the gym has been a wonderful thing. I have also started running at Stanford. We all know I am not a big runner, but I am feeling good. I am taking it slowly. Hitting the weights is feeling great too! The beach has been beautiful and the sun is feeling great!
However, school is right around the corner. I am registered for two classes, Women's Studies and Environmental Global Distribution. These classes will complete my upper division classes. Then it is all about the Nutrition. I am a little concerned because it is getting more difficult to find night and online classes. I am not sure how I am going to handle that. But I shall deal with that next semester.
There are still a few weeks before school starts though, and I am going to enjoy every minute it. Definitely need more beach time. I am still not quite brown enough!
Until next time...

Another End...
Welcome back! Yes it has been a while. It has been a busy semester. There were many papers, a few midterms, and I had to read a novel. I do recommend the novel. It is called "The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down" by Anne Fadiman. It is a true story and the family is from Merced.
My finals are next week. That means this weekend will include lots and lots of studying. So please wish me luck. Things, and I mean grades, are looking good so far though, which is a very good thing.
I can register for Fall 2010 in June. I am taking the summer off of school. I definitely need a break. I am feeling very drained. I am looking into a surf class though, if anyone knows of a good one.
I am still working on my new blog and will let you know the name once I have it. That is the only issue holding it up. I have the first 2 posts already written.
For those of you who are wondering, I am going to be in school for a couple of years. When I am done with classes, I am then going to need to fulfill a year internship. Just letting you know that it is going to be a little while until I am walking down in my gown to get my diploma.
Once my finals are complete, another post shall come. Until next time...

New Blog coming soon...
Just a quick note, I am in the process of working on a new blog in addition to this blog. Don't worry I am going to continue to keep this one going. But please become a follower of the new one once it is up and running.
On the school front, I am busily working on my oral presentation and paper that is due next week, Wednesday to be exact. It is on Native American Culture. I did OK on my midterm last week and will find out Monday my grade for my other midterm.
It feels like this semester is flying by already.
Until next time...

It's gonna be worth it!
That is the phrase that I need to tell myself everyday while I am driving to school. This semester seems to definitely be more difficult than last semester. Not sure if it is the classes, the teachers, or a combination of everything. I also feel that there is more work involved this semester, which I am not liking.
I am extremely busy with 2 jobs and school. Thus being said, I am very sorry that it has taken this long to update my blog . As I am sure you can all understand, I do not really have a life. Work, school, work, and if I have time I go to the gym. I need to start doing my crunches and pushups before bed again. I am not liking not working out.
I had a midterm last week and I have a midterm tonite. I also have an oral presentation due next week and I need to do 12 hours of community service this semester. I am thinking of applying at The Boys and Girls Club. That seems fun and a good use of my time.
We celebrated my beautiful nephew's second birthday last weekend. He is getting soo big, its amazing! Unfortunately I was not feeling great, damn migraines, but I made it through. After we cut the cake, I went upstairs and took a little nap. But he had fun which is really all that matters.
I will try to post more again this week with a little more detail. Feel free to ask me questions or anything and I will be happy to answer them. I am learning a lot and enjoying every minute of it!
Until next time...

New Semester...
And we are back!
After a great holiday season and a little break, school starts up again next week. I did receive my grades for last semester. I got an A in my tuesday night writing skills class and a B in my online nutrition class. Im happy with that!
This coming up semester I am taking 2 classes again. Monday night at 5:30 is Hunger and Environmental Nutrition and Wednesday night at 6:00 is Health Multicultural. Sounds exciting doesnt it! I'm looking forward to it.
I was trying to get one online class and one at school class, but they did not have any online classes that I needed to take this semester. Hopefully I can get an online class during the summer. I want to keep the studies up and going, moving forward.
Going back to the holidays, it was a good time. I took 2 days off to celebrate my birthday. Went up to the city and stayed the night, went to a show at the SF Playhouse. That was lots of fun. On Christmas Eve, I spent the night at my sisters house, on her couch, and woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed ( and grumpy) to my beautiful nephew at 6:30a. I do love you Cole, but that morning you were close to getting kicked.
New Years was quiet, and happily so. We all know I do not like being out and about on holidays or any time that people are drinking and possible driving. I was happy to be inside and safe and sound. I did make it to midnight though. Im sure you are shocked to hear that.
I will be back next week after my first week back and school and the new classes.
Until next time...
